hell yea! been waiting for this, sadly I need to buy a computer that can play it (currently on a laptop so bad it wont even play FTL) but it looks pretty damn good this game. Hopefully they will keep making it better and not bugger it up.

Gave this game a try with some friends this week and the Arena mode is fan-####ing-tastic. We used to talk about how awesome a stand alone version of WoW arena would be. With the cheers of the crowd, the announcer and just the overall competitive atmosphere, this mode totally hits the spot and so much more on those thoughts. I look forward to seeing this release on Steam someday as well as the future E-sports scene.

EDIT: They have a $30 limited time package right now that unlocks all 51 current gods and all future gods to be released. It can take days to unlock just one god, so I find this to be a heck of a deal.

I don't know why but I find it hard to take smite seriously, been playing dawngate which is pretty damn good as a moba but I do love smite.. I just don't know why I can't take it seriously (as in I don't care if I win or lose)

I did take advantage off that offer though... thats damn cheap for every god and I've played a ton of it anyway so I'm happy to support it and have access to every god for the few times I do chose to play

I've played this game when I was invited to either the Alpha or closed Beta, was pretty fun back then and I might try picking it up again. I think it's garnering a lot of attention these days as I hear more and more people speak about it.

Awesome! You guys should join us for arena sometime. Organized teams are pretty addictive in this. I tend to avoid the lane based modes because of the attitudes they usually bring, but Arena mode has been superb.

Ok I've got to ask.. is addicting a common word in America? I only ever started to hear it when I started watching youtubers (american ones ofc). In england we would say addictive, its so incredibly weird hearing addicting, it just doesn't sound like a real word.

Addictive is technically more correct, but addicting is in Oxford English & American Heritage Dictionary (which are the 2 standards imo). Addicting was formed in america, but is safe to use in both languages.

Also if you're just starting out in smite the really super easy god to play the game with would be Ra, the difficulty rankings the game suggest are extremely wrong.
Ra does high damage and heals very well, coupled with great escapde methods. Nice for someone new to the game.

Neith is also a nice starter god. She has heavy physical DPS tho not as heave as some she has a basic heal, escape and sniping ultimate.
