Anybody able to help me with webdesign?
I'm thinking about starting a buisiness, and I'll need to build a website, but I'm not to intune with todays methods (flash, adobe, etc...). How much should one pay for a multi page website with flash and a store?

Re: Anybody able to help me with webdesign?
I can advise ya for free but I have no free time with all the work I currently have on my plate
I'd suggest looking into Drupal.

Re: Anybody able to help me with webdesign?
A basic site with basic eCommerce using a template system like Wordpress (highly recommended) or Drupal usually starts at $500.
A quick search will reveal tons of freelance/contract websites. I'm not too familiar with them, but I know some are pretty slick allowing you to post your project and receive lots of bids to do the work.

Re: Anybody able to help me with webdesign?
Thank you for the replies (even Chosen's *cough*). I guess I am more curious about pricing, what I would need/want type of thing. On godaddy they were charging 2800 for a year's hosting and building the site. I wan't sure if that was a good deal or not. I might put it up for bid and see how that goes.

Re: Anybody able to help me with webdesign?
Hosting can be as low as $8/month for mysql+php (not counting first year sale price). That's generally plenty for sites just getting going. Though hosting can quickly jump to $20+/mo for the ability to withstand more visits and deliver pages faster (with more features).
I do recommend you toss it out there for some bids. $500-1000 up front and $10-30/mo ongoing is good for a basic business site.

I know he is working on other projects, but he can give you a good quote for what a semi-pro web designer would charge.
