Ok, so who's playing? I bought it at lunch today.. I'll be installing and (maybe) logging in tonight, but it sounds like the queues are pretty long and the newbie areas are totally stuffed - like 100 newbs per mob.

What server(s) and alliance is everyone going to play? I'm pretty sure I'm going for a PvP server and I'm going to play a gnome warlock like I did in open beta..

Coo, Alamais, Ghandi, myself, and a few of Ghandi's friends are forming a guild on the eastern PvP server Arthus. We're going to join the Horde to start with although we may have an alliance branch of the guild later. Come register on Ghandi's site and join in our discussions there.

Okay, I do that. I had a lot of fun with a warlock in open beta. I don't guess it matters much if I'm an orc or a gnome.

I assume there'll be no problem with joining an eastern server even if I'm in the central US?

There shouldn't be. You might get a little more lag but I doubt it'd matter much.

Apparently many of the larger EQ guilds have all joined Archemonde, a central PvP server, so you might actually get less lag on an east coast server since they are slightly less populated.

Ive not read much of the game

so can someone answer a few quick questions

is the game out yet or is it in beta?
i heard its only out in north american - australia and new zealand.. how com? will it accept payment from europe?
if it is out - can someone post me a link to buy it please

If you dont live in one of the release countries you cant play their 'yet', once the game is officially released in Europe you will be able to play on american servers.

If you order a copy of WoW from certain retailers in Europe after the 26th you'll get a pack including a CD-Key for the European beta starting in December.

The official European release is some time in January.

unfortunatly I'm one of the europeans that can't pre-order WOW since the BENELUX (belgium, holland, luxemburg) flags aren't in the pre-order participants list. I can't understand Blizard denied us the oportunity of this event. I think they just go for the highest population or something

man I was really looking forward to this, i was willing to go for the collectors edition

Hi,

Myself, Mave and LeTol are all playing on Arthas (Horde side) We have not met up with Ghandi's clan yet (I don't even know if they have set it up yet), but we're getting close. Our characters are around 7 to 10th lvl, so we can almost start moving around and meeting others.

Nope, I checked most online shops I could understand, even some that I didn't understand a word from, and none of them is selling the collectors edition or they dont' deliver in my country.

I won't be ordering the normal edition yet since there will be no final betakeys with it anyways. I rather wait for the retail lauch and hope that I'll be able to secure a collectors edition that way.
