It also might be that the folks who made the game, now that it is more "theirs" know it is not finished and wish to help promote (their baby) and help finish it off. Good find on that article as I had missed it.

I played SGR for a bit. It's pretty much a Stargate-themed TF2. It was only $20 on Steam so I picked it up. The combat is fun and the class representation is pretty good. Firing a Jaffa's Staff Weapon is actually pretty fun

I've been playing this alot today. My main issues are:

1. Turrets turrets turrets, really fucking annoying.

As a Goauld you can only use Kinetic wave, takes 3 shots to kill a turret. You have to charge it and hit it, run off with 10% health and heal (takes about 60 seconds) then you have to do this twice more. Now, in this time they can replace the turret with a new full hp one within 5-10- seconds .

Maybe make them always have to work on it to deploy or something, dunno.

2. OMG I love playing a Goauld, I just sit there with my shield on against idiot P90 firing morons and then charge them during reloading

3. OMG I fucking hate the way the hand device breaks alot of the time
