In short, the laptop is what I should have bought in the first place. While not a powerhouse of a laptop like the G73, I have yet to have a single issue with it. All drivers installed flawlessly, games still run well on high settings, exterior is very appealing and unlike the G73, the keyboard light actually works like it should. The BIOS version that came pre-installed on this was 2.04 instead of 2.06 like on the G73, so I'm pretty sure that version was the reason for all the issues on it. I have an option to update to 2.06 on this one, but I'm so content right now that I really don't even want to risk it.

BTW, I'm ebaying my G50 model if any of you are in need of a reliable budget gamer's laptop. The G50 and the G60 series retain the same chassis unlike the G73 as well, which in my opinion is a very good thing.
