Re: Wow....
Sure its pretty cheap, but the cards is entirely unremarkable. DDR2 ram is cheap as fuck and id rather have 512mb DDR3 than 1gb DDR2 any day. For the most part video ram speed is much more important than size.

I was talking to Mace last night about the i7 im getting (same one as Mace), but you said having a lower end card is fine, since the processor is extreme to begin with?

Fairly sure I didn't say that *_*
I know nothing about graphics since I built my 2.5years ago .... Um, solid is right about the DDR3 thing tho, but you pay for what you get - It's the general rule with graphics

Re: Wow....
I really hope you're not buying that.
- GDDR3 is significantly faster than GDDR2
- Sparkle? Who the f*ck is Sparkle? Enjoy your 1yr warranty...
- 8800 > 9400... hell, 8800 > 9600 - 9800 == 8800 with smaller, cooler architecture and tri-SLI support
Don't you have a GTX280? I'd buy this before I'd buy that 9400GT.
Think about it - you need more RAM on your graphics card to be able to load higher/larger/more textures to get those higher resolutions and full AA/AS. If you have a 9400, you're definitely NOT running your games at 2560 x 1600 with full AA/AS on so what's the point of 1GB of video RAM... there is none.
Now put 1gb on a GTX2xx card and you'll actually use all of that RAM and then some.
