Age of Conan - on the eve of xpac #1

Anyone playing? I was distracted at the time of release in 2008. From most accounts it's improved considerably since then. I'm trying the trial now and I must say combat is enthralling, the story is solid and the gameplay generally seems fun. But I'm only in the 1-20 "intro" portion which I've heard is drastically different than the 20-80...

Well the gameplay itself remains the same, combat is still the most engaging you'll find in any sword an sorcery mmo imo. But quests and such do get a bit cookie cutter outside of Tortage, and most of the voicework ofcourse goes away so you may find yourself just skipping through conversations. I still quite liked the game though, but had a hard time sticking with it as with any mmo other than EVE these days. The idea of mounted combat was quite appealing but I never got that far.
