My old Logitech headset wires were starting to go. I lose the left channel when I bend them a certain way and I've had issues with my sound playing back through TS and Vent over the past year, which is a problem I didn't use to have...
So I wanted to keep the behind-the-head style that I have now since I very often will jump online for a quick round here and there, sometimes before going out, and 'headphone hair' is not always something I want to have
I just picked up a Logitech G330 "Gaming" headset [link]. I can't say I really understand what makes this a "gaming" headset vs their regular USB headset offerings... the only thing I found in reviews was that the G330 has better noise cancellation in the mic compared to other headsets.
Anyway, for anyone curious about the headset, I'll report back here when I get it.
Just ordered a new headset...

Re: Just ordered a new headset...
That is a neat design, I have always used Logitech's PS2/PS3's USB headset since it's cheap and easy to find at most retailers (since, in my experience they don't last more then a couple of years - On my 3rd one currently.) You'll have to let us know how well it works and how comfy it is. ^^

Re: Just ordered a new headset...
I've always prefered full set headphones.
Been using wireless ones with a stand alone microphone for a few years now. Not a bad combo, since I used to burn through headsets by breaking the wires. No wires .
I do dread the day I finally go back to a wired set though, the amount of times I will stand up and yank them out ...

never liked the feel of those types of headsets, but the nice thing is it doesnt mess up your hair or make your ears sweat. I would be interested in how you like it
