Despite its many many shortcomings and dwindling population....this abandoned, ancient game is still pretty fun. If you've never tried it and ever wanted to experience a real MMOFPS, you might want to give it a spin before the rumored sequel buries this classic gem. No leveling or grinding required; you are in the end-game in your first hour.

Hmm... I might have to give this a try again. It was definitely fun, but mostly when we had a bunch of SXR rolling in tanks against a base.

I hate myself everytime I resub for giving money to the incompetent SOE.

I fucking loved planetside, had all sorts of merits for sniping with that bolt driver.

My biggest peeve though, the cheating. How are SOE handling that now? granted in the past they handled it much better than KK ever did, but with so many people playing and that damn recruits program giving people free accounts they could never really stop it.
