I moved from a strong "soda" area (northeast PA) to a strong "pop" area (southwest PA) and yet I've always called it "coke".

funny really older generations will call it pop but we call it coke/pepsi pepsi beng the better. some ppl call it fizzy

I've never understood calling it "coke" when you want a type of carbonated drink that isn't a cola. Saying Rum & Coke when it's Pepsi is
fine...but calling a non-cola drink a cola name...that's just stupid.
(Reptilian is sitting beside me and completely agreed with this)

Soda or Pop? Meh...whatever...I called it Pop, but either works.

EDIT: Reptilian says that "sodapop" is also acceptable

Coke ..... its that white powdery stuff or Coca-Cola ...... and when we say Pepsi, we mean bloody Pepsi ..... generally its call a soft drink for us Australians and UK'ers.
